Our gypsy caravan holidays allow you to experience what it’s like to live the life of a Romany traveller. You will travel by day, sleep in the caravan at night and learn to look after your horse.
Here you can escape from the hustle and bustle of your normal routines and relax in this beautiful part of South West Scotland. You can travel at your own pace and explore the area at your leisure, stopping off at the most scenic points.
Your Holiday Experience
Upon arrival we will introduce you to the horse and caravan you will be spending your days with. Before you set off you will be taught how to harness and look after your horse. Your horse is trained and won’t cause any problems as long as you have respect for the animal and listen to our advice. An appreciation of horses is essential and for horse lovers, this is a dream holiday. Learn more about your horse & caravan.
A groom will accompany you, although you will have every opportunity to care for your horse. We will provide you with a guide book and route map of the area showing where you will stop and stay overnight. We can also provide you with lists of local events and attractions.
By day you will travel along quiet country roads with superb coastal views. You can enjoy the wildlife and beautiful scenery as you go.
At night, you may park at one of our selected farm or caravan sites offering showers, toilets and a field for your horse to graze.
The caravans themselves allow space for 2 or 4 people and are fitted out with everything else you should need. It has a gas cooker, sink, crockery and cooking utensils. To give you a comfortable night's sleep there are sleeping bags, pillows and sheets - alternatively, if you prefer, you can bring your own.
Obedient pets are welcome as long as you keep them under full control.
