About Your Horse and Caravan
The Caravan
We have caravans that will support 2 to 4 adults or 2 adults with 2/3 children, which boast the following features:
- Authenticity - we take pride in the appearance of our caravans and fit them out to look like genuine Romany gypsy caravans.
- Kitchen - cooker (gas supplied), crockery, cutlery, cleaning utensils, a water container and tea towels.
- Lighting - powered by 12 volt batteries.
- Storage space - hanging space for shirts/dresses. There is also storage for your horse’s fodder and harness at the back.
- Bedding — we provide sleeping bags, pillows and towels.
- Seating - at the front of your caravan there is seating for 2 drivers and there are 2/4 seats inside.
- Toilets/Showers - unfortunately there are no toilets/showers in the caravan. You can use the facilities at overnight stops and back at base camp.
- A horse! - the caravan is pulled by one horse harnessed to a pair of shafts connected to the caravan.

Looking after your horse
You scarcely need any experience with horses, as long as you have a passion for horses, a willingness to learn and enjoy something completely different, this is a holiday where you and your horse can decide the pace. All our horses have good temperament, are in good health and behave well on roads.
The welfare of our animals will be entrusted to you, with the support of our groom, so before you leave our base, we will give you instructions on how to feed and water your horse. You will learn how to inspect the horse's shoes and areas under stress from the harness. You, with the guidance of our groom, will learn how to operate the horse and caravan safely on the roads (on hills passengers should get out and walk to avoid straining the horse).
Our groom will always be on hand, morning and evening, offering assistance to enhance the enjoyment of your holiday.
Our groom has excellent knowledge of the area and will be able to point out interesting landmarks along the way.
Horses should not be ridden or hand-fed - food for your horse is provided.
